Sobre Katie
Hi! I'm Katie, an Irish TEFL teacher currently living in Spain.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in English & Business and have experience teaching in public schools, private academies and one-to-one conversation classes. Before teaching, I spent five years working in finance with Bank of Ireland, giving me experience communicating in professional environments.
Alongside teaching, I'm an artist, improviser and children's book author-illustrator. I love bringing creativity, curiosity and humour into everything I do, and I believe learning should feel engaging, encouraging and enjoyable.
When I'm not teaching, you'll usually find me drawing, exploring nature, hiking or working on my next picture book.

I'm an Irish TEFL teacher living in Spain, with experience teaching in public schools, private academies and adult 1:1 conversation classes. As a fluent Spanish speaker, I understand the challenges of learning another language and adapt every lesson to your goals, interests & learning style.
Alongside teaching, I founded Santiago English Improv (Galicia), bringing people together through creativity, curiosity and conversation. As an artist and creative, I believe everyone learns differently.
I also hold a Bachelor's degree in English & Business and spent five years working in finance with Bank of Ireland, so I can help with professional English, interviews, presentations and workplace communication as well as everyday conversation.
Whether you're learning for travel, work or confidence, my lessons are relaxed, practical and personalised, helping you speak naturally and enjoy the process.
