I've worked with Andres now over a period of a few years, both before I started studying for a master's degree in composition and during my study.

Andres has been incredibly helpful, especially when I am under most pressure in the direct lead up to a deadline, where he is able to deliver a piece of high quality, industry standard audio mixing work quickly, which has helped my composition to reach a new level.

While creating a great mix it's important to have perceptive experienced ears to enhance any nuances, and Andres has these. My formal training is more specifically in composition and in writing sheet music, and though I can make a piece of music sound pretty good, I lack both the technology and the specific skill set of a highly trained audio engineer. Through listening to the changes that Andres has made within the mixes I have sent, I hope to also be able to develop this area of my musicality in future.

That being said, some skills, like mixing in Dolby Atmos, are highly specific and need specific training. I'm therefore grateful that I have made contact with Andres Mesa and that we are able to collaborate together on musical projects sometimes.
